Following reports that veteran actor Paresh Rawal may no longer be a part of Hera Pheri 3, fans have been abuzz with casting suggestions for the iconic role of Babu Bhaiya. Among the names circulating, actor Pankaj Tripathi has emerged as a popular fan choice to take over the legendary character in Priyadarshan’s beloved comedy franchise.
Addressing the speculation in a recent interview, Pankaj Tripathi humbly responded to the idea of replacing Paresh Rawal. He said, “I’ve seen and read these suggestions too, but honestly, I don’t believe it. Paresh ji is a phenomenal actor — I can’t compare myself to him. I have immense respect for him and truly feel I’m not the right fit for that role.”
Meanwhile, a report surfaced claiming that Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, issued a legal notice to Paresh Rawal demanding ₹25 crore in damages for allegedly breaching a contract and leaving the shoot midway. In response, Paresh clarified via social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that his exit had nothing to do with creative disagreements.
He wrote, “Let me clarify — my decision to walk away from Hera Pheri 3 is not due to creative issues. I hold a great deal of love and respect for director Priyadarshan and continue to trust his vision.”
As of now, the final casting for the role of Babu Bhaiya remains uncertain, leaving fans eagerly awaiting official confirmation about the future of the film and its iconic characters.
