Popular television and film actress Neha Pendse, who began her acting journey at a young age, recently opened up in an interview about the hurdles she faced as someone with no connections in the film world. During the conversation, she also recalled her first paycheck of ₹500, which she earned while working on the TV show Captain House. She later appeared in shows like Padosan and Hasratein, and her debut in films was with Daag: The Fire, where she played Sunny Deol’s sister.

Neha went on to build a diverse career, working in Telugu, Tamil, and Marathi films, and earning appreciation across languages. However, her journey wasn’t easy. In a candid revelation, Neha shared that she was once propositioned in exchange for a role in the industry — a moment that deeply hurt her. She declined the offer immediately, saying it was painful to experience such things but she never let it break her spirit.

Even during periods of unemployment, Neha remained determined and focused. She believes consistent hard work eventually leads to success. Her recent performance in the Marathi film June received critical acclaim, and she has also been appreciated for her roles in popular TV shows like Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain and May I Come In Madam?.
Reflecting on her journey, Neha expressed pride in everything she has achieved through perseverance. “I still want to keep exploring new roles and entertaining people. I started as a child artist and earned my first ₹500 at the age of 10, which I gave to my parents,” she said.

Coming from a non-film family, Neha noted that her choice of career was not welcomed by many relatives. She mentioned that, two decades ago, acting was not seen as a respectable profession for women, and she had to deal with judgment and discouraging remarks from those around her.
Today, Neha stands strong, proud of her achievements, and determined to continue entertaining her audience through meaningful and diverse roles.
